Hi,
I'm planning a trip to the UK in late January.  I'll be visiting the area around Sheffield, and also spending time in Cornwall and Devon.

I am starting to plan my trip now, and found this site as part of my trip planning.  I love to take photographs of my travels!

I traveled to Kent and Sussex and, of course, London, on an earlier trip to England.

I like to get away from the touristy things, and I like to stay in small, unique lodgings...any suggestions?

Welcome to POE from Anna and Ron, Joni. Lots to look at on this fabulous site and no doubt lots of suggestions from the members to follow. What about Oxford? Yes touristy, but a beautiful City!

Hi Joni, a very warm welcome to POE.

I have fun looking at towns or villages and then click on what accommodation is on offer in the area - I have found lots of unique places from converted mills/barns to 5** castles.

Joni - George (James) means 'get up north'. Now if you want to understand our language you'll stay down south!! Thinks......that should wind a few up. Lol

Yes, as my friend from Cornwall says, "Two great nations divided by a common language!"
