Sun shining, blue sky, cold wind here in Wheatley, Oxford but still beautiful.

Right now we have about six inches of heavy wet snow. The branches on our tree are almost touching the ground.

We'll have to go out soon and knock some of it off branches and overhead wires, or something will snap.

It's still snowing pretty steadily, forecast says we should get about 8 - 12  inches by the time it blows through.

Frost overnight and the bantams drinking water frozen to a thickness of half an inch! But within an hour or so we have a brilliant blue sky, the sun is shining and little wind. Another gorgeous day in beautiful England.

Absolutely picture perfect.  It's about 75°F right now at 4:20 PM, but it was around 70 this morning outside.  When I went outside this morning at 7:00 it was a crisp 42°F.  I love days like this.

El Niño is certainly in full swing about now.  We had steady rain all day today.  It was great!  Showers tomorrow AM then no rain in the forseeable forcast for the next week, with temps in the low to mid 70s F.  Perfect.  The desert is starting to look like Ireland.

Bad weather here!!!! It's been raining since Thursday. We are having a thunderstorm now!! Flooding, power out, trees and powe lines are down everywhere. A local town in evacuating due to flooding and so far two rivers here are reaching their peak!!

Both my sisters...one in Pennsylvania and one in New York have no power!!  I've been lucky so far. The lights were playing up a lot last night but we still have power. BUT it's really dark out there now!

Oh dear! What a wretched time you are having with the weather.  Stay safe, hope your power stays on so you can keep in touch.

The sun was shining on Monday 15th, the day of Betty's funeral course. Tuesday and today (Wed) have been pleasant with light winds, sun shining through now and again, but rain forecast for the end of the week.

High of 64 and sunny today, looking forward to sunny and 70 through Saturday (official arrival of Spring as well as my dear daughter Liz's 24th birthday).  It doesn't get much better than that.
