Surrounded my mountains on all sides, the wind gets trapped, and we have a terrible time of it. Along with the wind, the desert sand blows until visibility is almost zero, then it tries to rain, but all we get is huge sand/dirt marks over everything. Oh well, this too shall pass.

Today it only got up to about 67°F and it spit a little rain. But the clouds were amazing, kind of those bright clouds they have in the British Isles. They're calling for rain tomorrow, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we get it.

I have absolutely loved this weather, it is a miracle in the AZ valley to have such British type weather in the middle of April 90 degrees! It's funny how cold, cloudy, damp, windy weather gets me out of the house and raring to go!! I just wished the rest of summer would have some breaks in the heat like this. Only another 7 months to go before it gets back down in the 90's during daytime hours!! Oh we do get some relief during the odd day or two in July/August - monsoons - but humidity in 110+ heat is a killer!! Edited by: Dee Gill at:23rd April 2010 16:52 |
