In fact, the snow is down to the outskirts of the town, the houses built in the higher elevations have been dusted, but the rest of us and our roads are free from the white stuff. |

Yesterday late afternoon we had one of our terrific thunderstorms and it has rained non stop since then. Although the gardens and the dams really need it, I want to hibernate. I love the SUN. I have got so used to it shining 90% of the time, even when it is too hot, because it makes everything brighter and lighter. This overcast, dark, wet and cold depresses me - it would be a definite problem if I ever come back to England permanently!! |

We havnt seen rain since the start of the month, not complaining though lol |

We are cold at 18oC today! It's all relative to what you are used to isn't it? We are wrapped up in our winter clothes, with the heaters on. Are you are in summer clothes with maybe a jersey in the mornings and evening? As a comparison: today in Pretoria overcast, chance of rain 18oC high, 14oC low and is Oxford, overcast, chance of rain 17oC high, 06oC low. I expect yours is a warm Spring day, and ours is a cool autumn day!!

That was the begginning of the week. Here in NJ we had frost warnings with temps in the morning in the 20's and 30's...fire warnings...and now on Sat and Sun it's going to be in the high 80's!!!! |
