It has been recorded by a few singers, but I think the 58 version was by Eddy Cochran. Hope I spelled that right.

Correct, it was recorded in 1976  and reached number 7 in the charts, and was re-recorded by The Blues Brothers in 1980. Not a lot of people know that and all
