Me too, Lyn.  Those were the days, eh?

Today I saw a turkey vulture riding the thermals.

It was a bit nippy when I got up today at 430, Denzil.  About 70° Farenheit.  They're calling for the low 90's today. Very low humidity though, about 8%.

Hi Lyn:  Here:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkey_vulture

They aren't very pretty birds up close, but they look pretty cool in flight.  They're carrion eaters, that's why they don't have much plumage about their head and neck, for sanitary purposes.

Yes, Lyn, that's true.  They also use vomit to defend themselves, talk about YUK!  They definitely play their part in nature, though.

Lovely morning here in South Cave. The female mallard that has been visiting my garden with her boyfriend for a month or so has returned this morning with 11 little ducklings. They all seem very relaxed at the bottom of my garden and have even allowed me to take a few pictures. I'll post them under South Cave. I'll be smiling all day now!

If he catches them what does he do with them Denzil? Does he like chasing birds? I bet you've seen a few in your stables there, maybe Paul uses them in his films, especially if they're nature films eh?
