Ruth Gregory Posts: 8072 Joined: 25th Jul 2007 Location: USA | Posted at 14:43 on 4th June 2008 It was a bit nippy when I got up today at 430, Denzil. About 70° Farenheit. They're calling for the low 90's today. Very low humidity though, about 8%. Hi Lyn: Here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkey_vulture They aren't very pretty birds up close, but they look pretty cool in flight. They're carrion eaters, that's why they don't have much plumage about their head and neck, for sanitary purposes. |

The female mallard that has been visiting my garden with her boyfriend for a month or so has returned this morning with 11 little ducklings. They all seem very relaxed at the bottom of my garden and have even allowed me to take a few pictures. I'll post them under South Cave. I'll be smiling all day now! |
