Today I saw a bunch of American robins and two Stellars Jays, outside Flagstaff, AZ.  Stellars Jays are a wonderful little blue flash among the Ponderosa pines.

Cheers, RG

Welcome back Ruth! I will google stellars jays, never heard of them myself, but they sound like pretty little birds. Any difference between American and British robins Ruth?

I have seen pictures of Stellar jays Ruth, they're amazingly striking colours. They also seem quite tame around feeders too. I have a friend who feeds them whole peanuts, almost by hand. The chickadees actually do feed off the hand, it's a great sight to see. Welcome back from me too Ruth.

I saw a jay while in England, Jap Osmond. Here is a picture of me talking to him, I have other pictures, you know, the posed kind, but I prefer the candid shots myself.

Looks like he is repulsed by the thought  .

He was my heartthrob when I was a teenager, I wouldn't have minded kissing him then.
