Wonderful pic. It is a shame about the camera-shy bluetit. The Finches are beautifully marked arn't they?

Thanks Lorraine Smile

I think all the birds here have gone into hibernation here, thats a lovely pic Pete, my mate in Ingleburn down there in sunny Oz has a lot of Lorikeets in his garden, the area he lives in was where they bred before all the buildings were erected, and they still come back to breed there.

I haven't been out yet, so not many to report. However, yesterday morning at the wetlands was brilliant! In no specific order I saw a barn owl, a green woodpecker, a peregrine falcon, fieldfares (about 10), a pair of redwings, 50 or so siskin with 3 redpolls joining them, 12 goldfinches, several chaffinches, dunnock, wren, robin and more greylag than I've seen in a long while. Plus the usual waterfowl, coot, moorhen, etc..

The world would be a far less beautiful place without birds Andy.

I used to have a lot of birds come to my feeders. But can't afford the feed right now. I miss my birds!! Had the rare occasion to see a Piliated Woodpecker this past spring. He was beautiful!
