L Posts: 5656 Joined: 10th Jun 2004 Location: UK | Posted at 07:32 on 4th November 2008 I think all the birds here have gone into hibernation here, thats a lovely pic Pete, my mate in Ingleburn down there in sunny Oz has a lot of Lorikeets in his garden, the area he lives in was where they bred before all the buildings were erected, and they still come back to breed there. |

However, yesterday morning at the wetlands was brilliant! In no specific order I saw a barn owl, a green woodpecker, a peregrine falcon, fieldfares (about 10), a pair of redwings, 50 or so siskin with 3 redpolls joining them, 12 goldfinches, several chaffinches, dunnock, wren, robin and more greylag than I've seen in a long while. Plus the usual waterfowl, coot, moorhen, etc.. |
