Whether you call them raisins, sultanas, or humiliated grapes, I can't stand them! There is something about the texture that grosses me out. LOL!

When I make my homemade stuffing for Thanksgiving and Christmas, I always use dried cranberries as a substitute for raisins.

They sound like they'd be good grilled on a skewer, Wolf.  We have something similar called spiedies.  Except you marinate the meat overnight.

We do a similar one on a skewer with capsicum ( red and green peppers) Ruth

and on a BBQ.

Kabobs reminds me of Weight Watchers, pineapple chunks, cherry tomatoes and green pepper, repeat twice on an skewer and baste them in an honey smoke BBq sauce, then grill...helps with the diet. Put them over an golden rice of some kind, like "chicken" Rice A Roni perhaps and three skewers makes an luncheon meal...3/4 cup of rice...green leafy salad with low-cal dressing of some kind.
