Glad you resurrected the thread Karen! Great story.

Your stories are great too Lyn. You sound alot like me! I was at Joseph's final assembly in year 6. My friend was sitting two seats up from me. When they got some of the pupils to read out there recollections they picked all the goodie-two-shoes kids who said all nice things about the teachers. I said to my friend "They know who to pick!" and she said "Yes - all the creeps". At the end the girl who had been reading out her story ran over to her mother who was in between us! We hadn't seen her before because her Nan had always dropped her to school! Whoops! My friend said "Never mind we won't see her again" but then I met her twice in the shopping centre just after that!

Stephanie, that is so funny and something that I would do, isn't it funny that after embarrassing moments like that you keep bumping into the person. Laughing

Can anyone remember the old woollen swimming trunks? At the ripe old age of 14, my school decided that they were going to teach us to swim. After about 1/2 an hour of floundering about in the water, the whistle went for us to get out. I hauled myself up out of the water to a great applause and not a little laughing. I looked down to see my trunks on the bottom of the pool. I never went swimming again. To this day, I cant swim.

Oh Peter, that is awful!

I lost the bottoms to my bikini when I dived off the board once. It was the first and last time I wore a bikini, but I carried on swimming.

Those woollen trunks were a nightmare Sue. Did you get your bikini bottoms back though?

Hi everyone!

This didn't happen to me (thank god!) but to a good friend of mine. Some years ago she and her boy friend drove to a local beach to spend the day.  When she drove up to pay for parking, the male parking attendant kept smiling and said no, no, you don't have to pay, just go park; and he waved her on.  When driving off to find a parking spot she remarked to her boyfriend, "That man was very nice and he didn't even make us pay." Her boyfriend looked at her and said, "It wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that your left breast is entirely exposed, would it?"

She was so embarrassed that she wouldn't go back to that particular beach for the rest of the summer.

I remember my brother had a pair of navy wolly trunks Peter. I think I even have a picture of him in them (He was little).

My bikini bottoms went to the bottom of the deep end, but I was (am) a good swimmer so retrieved them toot sweet.I don't know if anyone saw me, nobody acknowledged it if they did, thank goodness.

Diana, your friend's boyfriend needed a slap for letting her drive around exposed. I presume he's now an ex boyfriend!!
