You have it hard enough at the moment with your family concerns - he should be more supportive. It's easy for us to say don't put up with it but not so easy for you to do anything about it. I have other friends in similar situations. He probably doesn't like you being so popular and having lots of friends. Thanks for my postcard - it was lovely. |

You and your family and all the situations are in my prayers. It's so good to know during times like these that you do have friends to turn to to share your pain and offer a warm shoulder and understanding ear. Joining with your other friends here at POE, I want you to know I'm here for you. Also, I see you mentioned www.rennfest.com. That's my beloved Maryland Renaissance Festival! I haven't been in a couple of years for various reasons, but started going, I think, in 2000. A coworker/friend got me into it and we love putting on our costumes and reveling at the Grove on a crisp autumn day. It's such a lot of fun, isn't it? Are you planning to go this year?

Now, he just bullys her, mentally and emotionally, but it seems to come in phases. Then later he changes into something nearer a human being.....until it starts all over again. She is one of the nicest people this world could hold and even her three daughters (who still love their father) have encouraged her to leave him. I don't think she ever will though. She did say once that it takes courage to up and leave, with all it entails, and that she hasn't got that courage. Plus, she still has love for him after 33 years. His jealous, insecure nature has been the cause all along and I don't think he will ever change. I hope you find some solution to your problems Catherine, and we are only a click of the keyboard away whenever you need friends. |
