When ever I asked my Mum what was for dinner or tea I always got the same reply, “3 jumps at the pantry door” her favourite though through my teenage years when arriving home later at night than I should have been was “what time do you call this” I always had an urge to look at my watch and tell her the time but never dare. One of her sayings that filled me with dread was “I have a bone to pick with you” meaning she had found out something or another that I had been up to and I needed to think quick to wriggle out of it Laughing the one good thing about being a rebel while I was growing up was that my own children couldn't get away with anything, I knew every trick in the book Wink
