There must be something to go to after Death. I was very close to my Grandmother (Grandma) and was devastated when she died. She died on my eighteenth birthday. The previous night I had been awake all night because my daughter Cheryl had been grouchy with teething problems. I finally got her to sleep and started to drift off myself when I heard a voice saying "Helllo Jean". I looked up to see my Grandma as I had always remembered her, hair tied back in a bun and wearing a cross-over pinny (apron) with a duster/'dishcloth in her hand. She said to me " I've just called in to say good-bye. I've got to go now because I've got a lot of work to do. Don't worry about me and Cheryl'll be fine." I woke up and looked at the clock - it said 10.15am, and I drifted off to sleep. The next thing I knew there was a knock at the door. On opening it I saw  my younger sister Christine who not being able to deal with it any other way told me straight out that Grandma had died that day. I asked her what time Grandma had died and she said the hospital had phoned to say that Grandma had died at 10.15am, the exact time I had seen behind my Grandma on the clock. Since then every time I have seen Grandma in my dreams, the following day something good has happened.

These are all great stories. I have to agree with Lyn B, the thought of nothing is more frightening to me than the thought of any type of afterlife.

(BTW nice new avatars Lyn G, Lyn B, and Stephanie!)

Thank you both Krissy and Catherine. I am was sceptical as the next one, but what happened to me is God's honest truth. I could have reached out and touched my Grandma. It was real as that to me. It's said that God shows himself in his own time and at his own pace in his own way, and that's what happened to me. We should all believe that, but it takes something special to make us believe it. I think I was one of the lucky ones, but persuading others is one of the most difficult tasks we are all supposed to undertake. All I can say is there is somewhere to go to, we all have our guardian angels and death is not the end - We'll all meet up in the end, some way or4 another.

Bless you, Jean P

I can't say I've ever felt the presence of a guardian angel, I don't know who it would be if it was. I was abandoned at birth, and when adopted my extended family has always considered me the adopted one and not really part of the family (in fact just last year, an elderly member of the family told me 'well you were adopted, so you're not really family').

I doubt my biological family would be interested in being angels to me.

No, I don't think I have a guardian angel, but I do know that the Lord is looking out for me in all areas of my life.  I guess He's my guardian angel.
