When I was five years old my family lived on a farm way out in the boonies. Far away from the house was a small shed where tools were kept. One day I was out playing and thought about something I wanted from that shed and went to get it. I was just reaching for the door handle to go inside when I heard my mother calling me. Her voice sounded urgent and I was afraid that something was wrong, so I turned and ran back to the house. Once there I found my mother sitting at the kitchen table with a cup of tea, talking to one of her friends. My mother looked at me and asked why I was so out of breath, and I told her it was because I had heard her calling me and had run to come to her. She said that she had not called me. At that exact moment my step-father walked in the door and said that he had just killed a rattle snake in that very same shed. My mother said that it was my guardian angel watching over me to protect me from a potentially lethal snake bite. |

I truly believe everyone has a guardian angel or a loved one who passed away who watches over us. I feel that way with my maternal grandfather who I never met. Since I was very very young I always felt I knew him and that we are close. He seem very familiar! Sounds strange! The same with my brother. I can always sense when he is around! And without fail his favorite band comes on the radio or tv!!! It's a very nice feeling!!

It was interesting when my grandfather died. For long time afterwards I could smell his aftershave at different intervals. I always felt like he was right with me. Have you guys ever heard of Lisa Williams? You would like her. A clairvoyant/medium from England. She is on TV. Google her! I think she is fantastic! |

Love the rattlesnake story Diana. I believe in guardian angels too - although I wish mine would come back - didn't mean to upset you Mr Angel!!! I also believe you can sense loved ones lost. We had several strange things happened when my mother-in-law passed away in February. The funniest story involved her love for brandy. The last time Terry saw her in hospital she asked him to bring in some brandy for her. He said that he couldn't take brandy into hospital and she said "Please - I don't think I'll make it past Sunday" and as she thought she died on that Sunday. When we were returning from the florist after ordering our funeral flowers we heard the chinking of bottles in the boot of the car. When we checked the car over there was not a bottle to be seen! We think it was her way of telling him off! Other things happened like Aaron felt someone touching his hand as he woke up and Terry ran out the house white as a sheet when I came home one day as he felt someone behind him. When my Dad died I had a vivid dream that I was walking down the river bank with him and he said not to worry because he was happy now because he could walk again. I hadn't seen him walk without his sticks or frame since I was 12. That was also a great comfort.
