It would be unfair to close it Diana. It would be a one-sided argument/discussion.

You call 'pettiness' everything I went to the bother of writing, Diana, but I prefer to call it the unvarnished truth. And I won't bother any more. The fence is still broken.

I agree with Andy, Diana, that the thread should remain open.  Everyone should have an opportunity to air their feelings here should they choose to do so.  We've had these little tiffs in the past, but this one seems to be a little more serious than the others.  If people feel they need to take a break for a while, then so be it.  Emotions need to settle, if they don't the ugliness will continue.

Sue, truthfully, I wasn't thinking of any one in particular. I am sorry if you feel I was attacking you. Please know that nothing could be further from the truth.

When I used the word "pettiness" I was referring to the situation in general and not to any one individual.

I get a brand new lap top,am looking forward to "chating"with my new friends only to come back and see what has been going on.this is so sad.

I personally feel blessed for having found you lot and will always be a part of this "family"as long as there is a POE.

I truly hope whatever has happened can be "Mended"

At this time of year,we need to think of all our blessing's however big or small.

I know ,as stated earlier, one of my blessings has been able to find friends like you...

I only hope that no potential new members have read those threads. It could very easily have put them off. It reminded me of school, exacty what happened when the teacher left the classroom. I hope that, at least now,we will all be able to talk to each other in a respectfull way like we used to.

Hi Peter,

I don't think anyone could argue with those sentiments. How are things going with you in Welsh Wales by the way?
