I never heard of Bread Sauce.  I thought Roses was talking about kind of a dipping sauce for bread.  What do you do with bread sauce?  What is it a sauce for?

You serve bread sauce as a compliment to turkey, Ruth.  Like onion sauce or apple sauce with pork, mint sauce with beef roast, bread sauce with turkey.

Does anybody have a recipe for an authentic English plum pudding?  I have a recipe that we love, but I believe it's far from authentic.

I have a traditional Christmas pudding recipe Ruth. I could convert it into American measurements if you would like.

Sounds good, Sue.  I'll have to give it a go.  I didn't do our Thanksgiving turkey, but I'll be doing one for Christmas.

Thanks!!

We were posting at the same time, Sue, so my last comment was about the bread sauce.  As for the plum pudding, that would be great!

I'll try to work on it today Ruth. I have to swot for my ASL class final tomorrow but I'm sure I'll need a break at some point.

LOL, Ron!!  The hard sauce is actually the best part of the plum pudding.

No rush, Sue, whenever you have a moment.  Good luck on your final.

Excuse me, I thought you used "turkey gravy" over turkey. I just cleaned out the refrigerator, we have two of them you know, use to have three...one was just for the beverages. Anyway, I tossed most everything  out and used bacteria killer soap in it...wiped it down...rinsed it, an wiped it down again...Starting over. Was up last night at mid-night finsihing it.
