Yes, I heard about this too. It is indeed very sad.  It's scary too, how fragile the human body is...especially when head injuries are involved.  We just don't know how much time we have left here do we? It's so important to live and love each moment to the fullest.

My prayers are with Liam, their children, and the rest of her family.

I have just heard about the death of Sir Clement Freud. He was always good to watch on the telly.

Bea Arthur has died too.

LOS ANGELES – Beatrice Arthur, the tall, deep-voiced actress whose razor-sharp delivery of comedy lines made her a TV star in the hit shows "Maude" and "The Golden Girls" and who won a Tony Award for the musical "Mame," died Saturday. She was 86.

Bummer!  Hi Krissy!  Well, at least she lived to a good age.  She was brilliant as Maude.

So many of the older shows/movies have lost their actors/actresses and I miss their style of performance that was typical of their generation. Altho some of the shows weekly and quite good, I think I enjoyed the times these same people were in some of the oldies programs put on like the Bob Hope Specials etc. That was a good time to see these other actors/actresses in another kind of light. Those tv/movie/stage greats will be missed cuz' they were HOLLYWOOD! LOL

Well, this mornings news makes number three for me over the last week, if you include Bea authur...first was Erivin Bauer, my friend's husband, he had an heart condition, I understand the Bauer name is one of the heads in the "illuminati"..I know his family here gave consderable funs to thier local hospital for heart research work, seond of course was Bea Authur and today was my Dotcor I knew for years, they force dhim into retirement at age 70, he was lookin gmore like 50 then, I guess it was his general lifestyle perhaps, he died at 93 years old. He took our my tonsils at age 6 and delivered my son at age 30, I really liked him, as he always was teaching me something to help me through life when I did see him, he was not money orientated for his wealth either. It's said he delivered while in the military some 2,000 babies in two years time. But hey said it nicely when they said it was said of Dr. Merill Mathiesen that he was affectionaley remember as gracious, compassionate and an generous friend. He served on the board of the big city hosptial when I knew him,as its President, or was when I was pregnant with my son. He was an naturalist in his ways as to daily living also. I learned an great deal from him. He is the one that held me as an child and told me that I had the most prettiest eyes for an child he'd seen in an long time...if indeed eyes are the "light of the soul". that makes three  in an week of good people leaving us for heavenly realms.

Bea Arthur was practically a household name when I was growing up; even if you didn't like her, you knew who she was! I liked her in Golden Girls.

I agree with you Ruth, at least she lived to a good old age, god rest her soul. Smile

Oh! I hadn't heard that. I am so sorry. My condolences to his family. He always seemed like such a jovial soul.
