Just thought it would be interesting to have a thread where we can post articles announcing the death of the famous / infamous people:

Ricardo Montalban, famous, beloved Mexican actor died yesterday at his home in Los Angeles. He was 88 years old.

Patrick McGoohan also died. I remember him in Danger Man, but he was most famous for The Prisoner.

Yes, an John's son (Walter Burke) died yesterday in our area, at 54 year's old, and an decent guy, he was not only an old neighbor, but one of our Scout troop father's.....I talked to his son Jeff last night on the phone for an bit. Funeral will be Sunday. Not worldy famous, he none the less ran the local county fair animal exhibits amoung other things,(we have over an million poeple in this county, an he perserved what "country" attitude there was left of it)  and was well known in his church, he's the guy  in this area that roasted whole pigs for community events...particualry his church. He had over come his heart problems when he came down with throat cancer, an advid "smoker" most his life. He is an example of an man that also overcame poverty as an youth also...and never suscumbed to underhanded ways in doing it, though he always has lived simply in life.  Sad to see people go when they are so young in life, maybe it's the quality, not he quanity of the years.

I was deeply saddened when Princess Diana died. I thought her to be an amazing woman with a huge heart.

Yes, so was I Cathy.  Of course, Princess Diana was only a year older than me, so like most young girls of my age, I idolized her and felt her death very profoundly.

There are a few people that although I didn't know them personally, their deaths affected me very profoundly. Aside from Princess Diana, Steve Irwin, Heath Ledger, and Paul Newman felt very personal to me.

I was devastated too when Don LaFontaine passed on. It was sudden and unexpected. He was such a good friend and so kind to my daughter!

He was the US's most famous Voice Over. He did the majority of movie trailers that always started "In a world..." He was not well known to the public until he did the Geico Commercial. He was the one who was at the mic with the bald head.
