See if they add anything you can't pronounce, or you haven't got any idea what it is, and then ask yourself, isn't using a cup of flour easier and probably healthier? I'd say YES! What we call pancakes in England are what the American's call crepes. American pancakes are more like what I think the English call Hot Cakes, or Scotch Cakes. So you Americans, Pancake Day is February 24th, all you need is flour, egg, milk and make the pancakes paper thin and you're good to go. I will expect a full report here on the Ash Wednesday. Talking about Ash Wednesday. that is the first day of Lent (as I'm sure you know). I don't do celebrate Lent in a religious way, but I always think it's fun to try (and I mean TRY) and see if I can give something up for lent. So I'll open a new thread about what you are going to 'try' to give up for lent. |
