If like our pancakes all sorts of things like butter, syrup, cinnamon, chocolate chips, whipped cream, fruit etc. |

It used to be fun when I was a little girl because we got to see the 'Cabeçudos' (cabeçudo=big headed man, check it here: http://olhares.aeiou.pt/cabecudos_foto1443832.html), but nowadays people just mimic the Brazilian Carnival, with Brazilian outfits and music, when we have such a rich tradition on this matter. It makes me a bit sad. Some parts of Portugal still hold on to our traditions, like up in the north: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Careto I found this if you're interested in reading some more: http://www.accessibleportugal.com/revista/2007/February/caretos.html |

We have pancakes at least once a week, and I like to put Golden Syrup on top. I get it from the English store I order from, though I have seen it once or twice in my 17 years over here in America on the shelf at the local store. |
