Hi Diana.  You had a couple of good uns there my dear! (not!!)  There are lovely people out there and you are a lovely person!  When my third marriage ended, I was on my own for 5 years and promised myself that I would never, ever get involved with another fella.  WRONG!  I met Neil, to whom I have been married for 6 years, on an internet dating site.  He is a dear, dear man and we are very compatible.  To think-I nearly didn't reply to the email he sent me-I am so very glad I did.  During my time alone, I dragged myself back from depression, learned a lot about life and started to enjoy living alone and doing things that I wanted to.  Then I had to learn to be married again!  I truly believe that 'there is someone for everyone' as they say!  Good luck Diana-dont give up eh?Laughing

Stories like this give one hope; thanks Marianne! I am not the only one on this site who will appreciate it.Smile

Diana, I have to agree with Maria.  I met my Bruce (just marked one year of dating bliss) on my commuter bus, when I was not even looking for someone.  After two failed marriages, I had finally reached that place where I was contented and happy being single.  It seems when you stop looking, that's when you meet that special person.

Thanks Barbara! Kiss That's what everyone keeps saying and I am ever hopeful. I might add that I am not unhappy being single...but sometimes it sure does get lonely. Especially when you always seem to be the third wheel at events! Ugh! LOL!

Thanks Diana! I missed you too! Kiss I had the best time in my life!!!!!! I can't wait to go back. We traveled approx. 1,800 miles in 14 days. I saw more of the country than I think any tourist ever has. I saw how England really lives. Exactly what I wanted. I also had the best tour guide England has to offer!!!! Wink I fell in love with Cornish Pasties too!!!! And Cottage Pie!! I ate in so many Pubs I can't keep them straight. But I think my favorite was The Belle which I think is around East Kennett, Marlborough, Wiltshire. It is near the Silbury Hill and Avebury Stone Circle.

Diana, it never happens when you are focused on it. You need to focus on getting your life in order and taking care of yourself and then everything else will fall in place. I know from experience. When you least expect it, it will happen! Just enjoy your life right now. Take care of you! Have fun! There is somebody out there for you and when the time is right it will happen and will be a most pleasant experience. I have no doubt about it. Kiss

Are you sure it isn't The Bell Inn in Great Cheverell near Devizes? That area was my stomping grounds the last year that I lived in England. South off the roundabout to Devizes off the A4.

What a beautiful area!
