This is happening to all of us now, and i just wondered what everyone thinks of it? We are allowed to break the speed limit on route to a life threatening emergency, but will be issued with one of these tickets, it has to be sent to our HQ, who then process it and send to our station, we then have to fill it in and send it back, where it will be processed again!! this is obviously costing the tax payer a lot of money in admin! and is a complete waste of time and money! as we don't actually get 'done' for it! but as a consequence many crews are slowing down and driving at 'normal' speed so the patient (taxpayer) pays the price again!! |

Why in the heck do they call it a emergancy for if you are suppose to go the speed limit!!!!!! I have never heard of this before I can promise you if a cop needed you for a emergancy he would expect you to haul A** for him !! If i were a citizen there i think i would have to raise H** about that. |

I think if you have genuealy got 'Blues & Two's' on (as oppossed to nipping off to the 'chippy' for the 'staff tea order lol) the bird-brains in the HA should realise this. Best of luck Jason. |

My family has been in the EMS for 30+ years (and me for 3 years) and we would never be in trouble for speeding to a call OR speeding to the ambulance building!! And I remember my stepdad doing 70-80 mph on the way to the building!! I told my mom about this and she was shocked!!! I just can't wrap my head around it!! |
