I just had an idea...maybe I'll start taking down the license numbers of the vehicles in question and then pull over and call the local radio station and ask them to make a public service announcement that a dangerous driver driving a (make and model) with a license plate number of ____, is currently endangering the life of other drivers by putting on her make up (using cell phone etc) while driving down (road name). Oh, I would sooo love to do this and would love to know if it would have a positive impact on the situation, i.e., stop people from driving while distracted. I always cringe when I see a woman putting on mascara while driving. A sudden stop and you've got a mascara wand stuck in your eye! The hands free devices don't help me either because I get distracted by the conversation itself. I can't listen to books on tapes in the car for the same reason. I become so engrossed in the story that I lose all sense of where I am! My favourite: Pictures \| Towns \| Attractions

They can live without texting and phoning for a shift...it won't kill them; while on the other hand using them while operating could kill them and their innocent passengers.
