Lyn you were a good friend to Lyn and I am sad that you never got to meet in person. We all lead such busy lives these days and it is so difficult to fit everything in - you had no reason to think this would happen. Same goes for you Peter - I hope you are alright now and I am sorry you were not well enough to make it to the funeral.

I feel guilty that I hadn't been in touch with Lyn so often lately. At one point we "chatted" here every morning before we both went to work and then we started keeping in touch on Facebook but lately what with all the madness going on at my home I hadn't been in touch with her until I left the note on Facebook wishing her well after the flu. I hope she realised that I did value her friendship. It was such a shock.

Thank you Sue, I am so sorry I never got to meet Lyn in person, my mistake was putting it off, thinking I will get around to it and what’s the hurry, I thought I had all the time in the world but sadly I didn’t and it’s to late now, a lesson well and truly learnt.

I am very sorry to hear that. I have been on this site only for few days and I don't know anyone of you, so it may seem that I am interfering, but I know well how you are feeling, believe me.
I lost my best friend in a car accident when I was 17 , after months that I hadn't seen her, not even for a night out. I was in a difficult period so I was angry with her because I thought she had left me alone.
Few  days before she died, she phoned me and said she was with our friends. She asked me why I wasn't with them, she told me she was sad because she missed me.
She wasn't disappointed with me. I felt so stupid.
Even now, I feel so bad when I think that I lost so many time I could spend with her, but making the list of my mistakes is useless.
She won't come back.
Things happen, and you (you all) don't have to blame yourself.
Just remember all the happy moments you got. That is what your friend would have liked.

(And I'm sorry for my mistakes)

I had a dream last night that I was in England and got to meet Lyn in person. It was so real! In my dream she was just as I imagined she would have been if I had actually got to meet her. We hugged and talked and laughed. When I woke up it took a moment for me to realize it didn't really happen. Frown

Maybe it did happen Diana. You might think me a bit mad but about a month after my father died I had a dream I was walking down the riverside with him. He was walking and I hadn't seen him walk without a frame or wheelchair for many years. He said he was happy now as he could walk now and I wasn't to be sad for him anymore.

It's a nice thought, isn't it Steph? And no, I don't think you're mad at all. Smile
