I used to be involved with Hospital Radio so have an unusually large record collection, that is how I come to have so many versions of particular song. |

In 1965, a Welsh singer recorded a song that featured a lot of the Ted Heath Band with Jimmy Page [Led Zepplin] on guitar. Went to number 1 in the UK and then also in the US. What song did this Welsh singer record that was originally written for Sandy Shaw? |

So, What do we have here in early 1965? An unknown Welsh singer; a song with a big band type sound, and guitar licks in the middle 8 by Jimmy Page. Another clue---later in their career, my dad played in their backing band in the US; notably in Las Vegas. Edited by: Paul Hilton at:18th November 2010 18:36 |
