Hi George, I think that television advertisement is also a little boring but it nowhere near as off-putting as the other rubbish! The fact is that neither would encourage me to look at their services.

Anyway, where's the real you for the avatar?

Got a new one I hate - that "Tax doesn't have to be taxing" one with the newsreader in the cupboard to promote the stupid 31 January tax return deadline! Every time I sit down late evening to relax after churning out endless accounts and tax returns it comes on as if to say "Get on with your work!!!"

merecats, telephone adverts, all the ones mentioned here are a turn off, usualy made by some jumped-up ex- graduate who has wasted three years tax payers money, roughing it on the state.

also what about the adverts that bear no resemblance to the product they are advertising, you remember the advert but not the product.

Another thing that seems to be on the increase on TV are shows that are spin-offs of other shows, constantly repeating the same product or clips of it, and even worse, having cut for an ad. break, repeat 50% of what they have just shown before the break.  Its all a cheap way to fill in their alloted time frame.

(am I becoming a 'grumpy old ......? or do others agree?

Happy New Year to everyone too ! Smile

It's some radio adverts I don't like. Usually some local company having a special promotion on.  After telling you what a great deal they currently have on, they end speaking very fast with some of the conditions, ending with Terms and Conditions apply.

What this implies to me is , their offer isn't quite as good as it seems and there's more strings attached than the London Philharmonic orchestra, and they the don't want you to hear this properly in their advert.
