Do you US people have Trader Joe's in your towns?  They always have whiskey filled chocolates at Christmas time.

You're right, Ruth--I forgot about Trader Joe's! There isn't one near us but we always go to one when we visit our kids in Cleveland or my brother in Chicago. I've never had their whiskey-filled chocolates, however--must try! If any U.S. readers have a World Market near them, that may also be a possibility, since they often add new food items. Sadly, the World Markets in our region no longer carry Lifeboat Tea, worse luck.

Oh, I can't think of any where I'd rather be than here with my husband.

Sappy, eh!

Sappy? No.  Special? You betcha!  You lovebirds keep on keepin' on.

I have both Trader Joe's and World Market near me, but alas, I'm not a real fan of whiskey.  I do love that I can get real imported Cadbury's chocolates at World Market, though!

Cadbury's, a real old english icon Barbara, started (and still is) in the west midlands (cue Stephnie) by a wealthy family who cared about his workforce that he built a lovely town around his factory to look after then. You can visit the site today and watch (and taste) the chocolate products being made. Unfortunatly the company has just been bought out by the American food giant 'Kraft'. Hope they maintain its product and history.

I rather eat Cadbury's chocolate than anything we make!! There is a big difference and I really hope Kraft does not plan on changing anything!!!

I'm lucky my supermarket carries a lot of British foods and lots of candy!!!

Yes, I truly hope it's just an ownership thing and that they won't mess with the greatest chocolate recipe in the world!

Today, I'd rather be . . . sitting down to a nice organic lunch at the Vaults and Gardens cafe in the University Church of St. Mary the Virgin just opposite the Radcliffe Camera in Oxford. Wonderful food, lovely medieval vaulted ceiling; just a nice overall lunch experience, particularly on a cold wet early afternoon!
