It sounds lovely where you are, Cathy.  The climate sounds a bit like where I live in the desert southwest of the US.  Yes, we live for the cooler mornings in summer and then hole up for the rest of the day.  But we do get rain in winter, although our annual rainfall is about 7 inches per year.  The summers are unbearably hot, but the humidity is relatively low.  Our fall, winter and spring weather is lovely, and he sun shines 86 out of every hundred days.

Hi Cathy:  Just went thru your lovely sheep tour.  You found a lot of beautiful shots I'd missed.

Thank you Ruth, it was fun, and I think the best thing is that sheep tend to roam all over the gorgeous hilly areas of Britain, so the photos are very picturesque as well

Hell everyone! I am the same as you Rick - mostly miss everyone but I am lucky enough to catch Ruth & Cathy if I am up early enough!

Yes I loved the sheep tour too! Great idea for a tour Cathy - it is difficult to think of new ideas now. I really enjoy doing tours - a great way to see the photos you may have missed and very relaxing!

My boys are off school for a week now, Terry is off waiting for his scan so it will be just me working next week! Still I have the weekend off and we always have such great weekend adventures together. Little Sol has been allowed to bring home the class bear for the week so we have to take pictures of him on our travels and then fill in his bear diary to send back to school!

Hello everybody,

Cathy just saw your Sheep Tour.It is lovely! You know since childhood I would read about "sheep dotted over the hillside" in English storybooks. When I visited England in 2007 I realized that it is a very apt description!

Stephanie my best wishes for Terry.I am sure everything will be fine.

I think now that people will start uploading pictures of springtime in England I will feel desperately like catching the next flight there. Here the temperatures are already soaring to 30 deg celcius in the daytime.I shudder to think what summer will be like.

Well thank you all for your kind words, even though I didn't contribute a single sheep photo.  Ron so glad you managed to catch 40 winksWink

Urmimala, I took the thermometer out of the kitchen today and put it in the sun - it only measures to 50oC = 120oF, the little red line shot straight to the top!! And I spent 7 hours teaching with no air conditioning, only a ceiling fan & a fan heater on cold blow, I am wasted and so is the garden!! I do hope we have a good rain tonight

Stephanie you are so right about subjects for tours, I didn't think I was going to be able to come up with anything - but I have another couple of ideas in the pipeline now 'cos of all the fabulous pictures that you need to look at while finding the ones for the tour.  What fun!!!!!Laughing

OK, why can't I find Cathy's sheep tour?

Today I am hosting a birthday luncheon for one of my husband's five sisters. It's a pot luck, so not all the work on my shoulders.

I'm making lemon bars and this really wonderful pizza. The pizza only has diced tomatoes, fresh basil leaves, mozzarella cheese and olive oil on it. It's so simple, and simply delicious.
