It still seems a moot point whether or not it was real or stage managed to some extent? He did what my Granddad did; lied about his age to get in the army; so Victor got found out, and mine got sent to the Somme for his fibs. I'll have to take a closer look at Sgt Quincannon on my She Wore A Yellow Ribbon dvd----great opening scenes of Monument Valley with the fort at the base of one of The Mittens.
