Well, I guess that's what happens when you stereotype people and set out to wind them up. It still seems a moot point whether or not it was real or stage managed to some extent? I can't figure how they'd got so far off the main road and ended up on Hwy 90, Seminole, Alabama where this incident was filmed. Undecided

I'm afraid not Ruth, though seems Alabama vacation connected. Maybe the Top Gear crew got off lightly for their trouble?

Thanks James----John Ford's son is the one flying backwards into the water during the fight.

He was as you say James, born Tonbridge.  Army record?  Heavyweight boxing champ in 1918? He did what my Granddad did; lied about his age to get in the army; so Victor got found out, and mine got sent to the Somme for his fibs.   I'll have to take a closer look at Sgt Quincannon  on my She Wore A Yellow Ribbon dvd----great opening scenes of Monument Valley with the fort at the base of one of The Mittens. A friend is going on vacation there in about 3 months.

Hi guys.  Westerns aren't really my kind of movie, but one of my all time favorite movies of any genre is "The Cheyenne Social Club," with James Stewart and Henry Fonda?  Have you seen it?
