RE 'can anyone identify this flag?  yes I beleieve its the White Ensign, the flag of the British Royal navy. A simular flag in Red is the Red Ensign flown on British merchant Navy ships.

Big one today in Lytham St Annes, Many are using the weekend to celebrate, but being English lol they are not shouting about it, untill theyve had a few beers lol.Wink

The annual Scarecrow festival take place in Wray, a village in Lancashire this weekend and of course coming up is Mayday, dancing around a Maypole and all that! lol

I put this picture up day before yesterday, and I just noticed yesterday, after I put it up here, that there is a flag of St. George in the upstairs window on the right.  Never noticed that before yesterday.

mmm scots emblem is a Thistle, Irish a Shamrock, Welsh a Daffodil or Leek and English a red Rose. From that the Welsh dish is probly a leek soup

Just a reminder that this Saturday 23rd April is St George's Day, England's Patron Saint. 

I am sure that there will be all sorts of celebrations around England with Easter and St George's Day and not forgetting "The Wedding" next Friday!
