I saw this in the Oxford news online, and thought how important it is for us to support efforts by our community members to celebrate our nation.

The Icknield Way Morris Men will be celebrating from 8pm tomorrow night at the Fox and Hounds pub in Uffington, close to Dragon Hill, where legend has it St George slayed his nemesis.

Link here for more celebrations in Oxfordshire

I wish I were over there now to celebrate, but I'm not, so I'll have my own little celebration here.

Happy day to those of you in England tomorrow.

I'm taking the day off work in honour of good olde St. George!  Because that's what we English do!

Oh, they don't mind.  They've always been supportive of my predominant Englishness.  :-)

Babara's Scot's and Irish bits (do you have any Welsh bits?) can have their own celebrations. St Patrick's day was last month, St. Andrew's Day 30th November, and St. David's Day March 1st. We celebrate them all with traditional dishes.
