I'm back for an few....I am reading my "Valhalla Rising" Novel...what do you you suppose these three chapters have in common...year 1035..somewhere in America...an small colony of 100 Vikings from Norway found an cove in North America..set down sails and start an colony..sucessful..they set off 100 men to explore the land...they return 18 months later to finding thier colony destroyed...and they go about revenge.. to thier deaths... with the local savages...year 1894..in the Carabbean Sea...encountered an wooden submarine...whom aims straight at another ship..it tears it in half and sends all to their death...without so much as an blink of an eye...year 2003...the ship Emerald Dolphin..in the South Pacific...the premeir cruise line boat of this tiime.. with 2,500 passengers and crew catches afire mysteriously, all it's fire equiptment in-operable..it burns....but an research shop named NUMA an special American Naval underwater ship that has our book hero on it...kind of like an milder James Bond...see's the outline of the cruise ship on fire...they help go an rescue her and her 2,500 passengers...nearly going down with the over -load of people  and saved in the nick of time by an Austrialian Frigate and later on by another boat that came to the rescue...and as the people are ferried over to the huge frigate the Numa boat raises up out of the water by 5 feet and looks as if its going to make it to port for repairs..with the frigate following it in with the passengers. The man whom in part built the cruise ship..now an gutted mass of molten metal lost his life leaving the fire with his daughter as two men tried to attackl him with the ships building papers in an brief case..he jumped overboard and landed in the sea breaking his back, but his daughter didn't...she jumped also.. trying to save her father... he pushes his brief case in her hands and tells her to let no one have them until she gets to safety...he goes to his grave, and she is later pulled out of the water by our hero....but as the frigate starts taking on the 2,400 survivors...the man whom attacked her father comes to try to kill her  on the NUMA ship and  get this breif case...in the struggle our hero comes iin and helps her..and eventually kills the attacker...and all wonder...what is this all about...he admits he's an hired assasin. She flees as was instructed by our hero as he's struggling with this guy...whom manages to fall and break his neck.. Where she went to after his death..the book has not as yet said. The Capt. found the man's dead body and threw him overboard. And the farewell of this chapter is an tribute to the NUMA survey ship...by it sailing between the two other rescue boats as the passengers are throwing graffi and the frigate and other ship are blasting thier horns and the news media is there recording it all to report worldwide on the news...wiht helicopters in the air. .

Now how do you suppose this book will unfold.... with the three chapters...I'll let you know when I get done reading it.

It's true - a woman's work is never done! lol.  Christmas & New Year usually bring extra activities while everyone else is on holiday.  (This is our long summer break!!)  Most of the washing & ironing all done.  Cleaning done although I will probably need to vacuum again tomorrow!  New Year's Eve dinner still to be cooked.  Then a day to put my feet up and back to the cleaning.  I will have to thoroughly clean the art studio, move all the bookshelves and wash everything - but that's for the New Year, so I'm not going to think about that now!!

So while I take a break on POE (waiting for yet another load of washing to finish it's cycle!)  I can drink my cup of tea and check what's what on the forums and the latest pics too.

I wish you all a wonderful day todaySmile

Good morning everyone!  I'm back in circulation now having spent a wonderful Christmas with my family.  I only see them about twice a year, so it was very special!  Hope everyone else had a lovely time too.

RON.  I suspect you are asking for trouble!! Ha! Ha!  No further comment from me!!!

That all depends Ron, if you have a good woman or not. If you have someone who takes care of you, does your laundry, makes your meals, etc and keeps the home like a retreat for you then she is worth her weight in gold!! Wink And don't forget about raising your children which is a 24/7 job!! lol
