Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 20:27 on 25th December 2010 Not very long Beth...not very long at all....Christmas Day here...we were up early out at the grandkids house watching them open their gifts...I now have three games I've committed myself into playing, and one movie....but my hubby has some new technology for me to learn also...an "electronic book"...now I will have to get the computer in tip top shape...but it does make me every so gladful of the wonderful Christmas Cookbooks I do have and their great pictures in them...I do not know it electronic books down load pictures in them from books. I went to bed last night with Lowell over in England, on "coast to coast"..an premier story teller telling us "Twas the Night before Christmas" and I couldn't stay away any longer. Before I left though I also checked out the Vatican's Christmas Mass services though as I listened to George Norry talking with others about angels and such expereinces. I was up by then finishing off food for todays dinner meal. Hubby got up and he is at it already..getting things ready to start the Christmas tree recycle tomarrow. Kevin brought over the trailer this morning to load it with trees for the next two weekends....I haven't seen him since he became an "new" father not to long ago..his wife Rhonda had an baby girl...you know..I've known many of these "fathers" since they were on snow camp up on Mt. Hood drinking hot choclate and eating toaster pop-ups at about age 10..my how the years fly by. Anyway, cheese logs made, sweet hot pepper Jelly cracker spread made, Salmon in the freezer...salads made also...I think I'm ready for today. Krissy good to see you here....and I miss not seeing Diana and some of the "guys" but maybe they come back from time to time...I hope you all understand that I have an few badly needing painted walls right now. It's simply has to continue where I left off last summer an bit longer. Just do me an favor...don't celebrate Christmas in July because of this all. Winks* Santa needs more time to prepare for the following December. Take care over the New Year's celebration...and let us see them on the news please...so I know what your "up to" these days over there in England...love those fireworks anyway...your an day ahead of us here... No problem. Cathyml...help Ron watch over POE...he needs someone to keep him in check now and then or it's hard telling if we'd ever get him and James not consuming one to many pints together....and into POE properly...Chuckles* I was watching the lady of the house on the street over from us this morning out there doing her morning walk in what looked like her thermal PJ's drinking her cup of coffee...I wonder if she was even "wake" to tell you the truth...or doing thsi out of habit. Mother's were probably some of the busiest people around this last 24 hours..besides Santa. But I saw little kids out there also, welcoming grandparents and others with their new toys in their PJ's also...kind with the feeties in them....hugging and all excitied. BTW..they said last night on the news...people last minute opened up their hearts despite the economy...and may have made yesterday and the season the best in three years for the retailers...but I think lowering thier prices had an lot to do with it myself...we could afford to get things this year easier. Lots left to do though in over all reform. Next year is the year of "11's" as many have brought out...11 years are ones of finishing off the old to go to the new. Days coming up are 1/01/11...1/11/11/ ....and 11/11/11. Catch you all later on...

Both of my children and the 4 grandchildren (daughter in law & son in law too) all together for the day. The weather was kind - hot and dry (lol). Wonderful gifts exchanged. Plenty of food. Swimming and cricket for the children. And lots of fun and laughter. A short thunderstorm in the evening to cool things down a bit and everyone happy, relaxed and at ease. I think I could genuinely say this was my best Christmas Day ever. Now that is a truly awesome blessing! Have a wonderful Boxing Day today, may it also be a day to bring you joy. |
