How long will they be with you ? Is this something you do each year with them ? I think it's a great idea....they will remember these days in years to come. Enjoy them while you can....hugs to you all. |

As much as I critize these days there are many wondferful people out in the world....it takes seeing this.... to remember it I guess.. Now if only they could have food to eat and an warm house to go to.... and good parents that love them. I spent today getting another gift ready for my hostess cooking the Prime Rib dinner for Chirstmas. She now has an wreath for her door and some nice Holiday dinnerware pieces to go with it. Cathy we deal with 5 little boys all under age 10 and another slightly older and my grandaughter most the time....if she doesn't also have the neighbor gal over there. They are quite an bundle when they get together and keep everyone busy doing things....last weekend they went sledding up at Mt. Hood....and it is " icy" out there tonight...but suppose to warm up here soon. My daughter in-law's days off from work ususally include babysittng them. Right now she's off work as the shcools are not operating due to Christmas Vacation. Our dinner hostess is her sister for Christmas dinner. My daughter in-law don't know it yet, but I gave her an tree shaped cupcake holder ..holds 19 cup cakes and with it 2 dozen cup cakes...one dozen has like outdoor Christmas bulb "rings" on top the frosting in an whipped green on white, bulbs in assorted colors...and the other dozen is an assortment of picks with holly/berry decor and green presents on those cup cakes. should look quite holiday-ish when she puts them out on her center kitchen counter. I'll have to check her for LOTS of hot chocolate. I guess I better get going...keeping my eye on this eclipse going on right now . |

Have a wonderful day Despite the fact that there was no one around last night to help me stay awake, I survived!! Lol. One of the grandchildren stayed awake through the night, two others dozed on and off and the 4th one went to bed at 11. But it was a l....o....n....g night! Beth I have taken the first chance I have had to have all the grandchildren at the same time, and it has been great. They all come to me from 9 til 5 each day and I have taken different themes to do with them. We made christmas decorations, tree decorations, wrapping paper, christmas cards etc. Then we had a day of different art projects. Then a cooking day where they made sweets and fridge tarts etc. They made landscape plate gardens and planted seeds. And they had a survivor day, having to make a wood fire and cook on it, etc. So every minute of their six days was occupied!! Two of them have gone home now and the other two will go home tomorrow afternoon. But I will probably need 24 hours sleep before I attack the clean-up job!! Lovely memories! |
