My uncle had a fishing boat called Koh-i-noor, and I think that is the name of the diamond, which is kept in the Tower of London with the Crown Jewels.

Not the Koh-i-noor diamond, although it is one of the largest diamonds ever found but not the largest.  The Koh-i-noor was set in the crown worn by Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother.

I had better give a clue or two otherwise the thread will be stuck

A lot of these are suddenly appearing in the firmament of POE - plus the continent on which I dwell!

Stars, Cathy?  Not sure, your clue about your continent threw me off.

Is your the answer to your diamond question the Hope Diamond, housed in the Smithsonian in Washington, DC?

You have got half of it Ruth, but in the singular

The continent on which I dwell - me, myself, personally, lol.

I'm glad you had a guess though Ruth.

Another clue - You may see this in a sceptre!

It is the largest diamond cut from the Cullinan 1 and it is in England's Royal Sceptre - can you get the name the diamond was given using the clues above James?
