James good to see you..I left you an message an couple weeks back that I was able to se your pretty yard tht after months I have finally been able to get back into my e-mail server...for how long is another subject.

It hads been something else here lately...at least around here. To begin with I have repurchased my security and up came an thing from Bill Gates and microsoft...contact us..you have an  serious trojan virus...we have locked down your abilty to use your computer until you do. that was several days ago..tonight has been the first I've been able to get in it..but I have "comcast" here the last two days relaying underground wiring also. I hope this is over with now.

Three days...first day I'm headed home from the kid's house..and my driver's window is down an bit...all of sudden I get smacked with some kind of juicy juicy through the window...I figure an bird got me,.or an bug bit the dust on the side of the widow..I didn't know what the heck....I'm wearing this knit little blouse that dips down in the front...and I look down on my chest and here's the biggest black something bug I've ever seen in my life!....you talk about getting an bit unnerved....I wipe it off my chest about half screaming...all the time driving....and stopped at the closest drive way I could find...now as far as I was concerned it had to of been dead with all its vital organs slashed into my face...but you know something...I could not find it...not on the floor board...the seat...anywhere. I stopped three more times on the way home and never have found it yet. I was about half afraid it was alive and coming to get me...but it didn't.

Day two of Merry ole July fourth......by now we have hauled out the food...the fireworks.....the patio table, the awning, chairs galore, lawn swing, kiddie pool, two ice chests...you name it..1 lbs and 15 os. of ribs..and we are headed back home again....hubby driving. His cell phone rings...he doesn't have his blue tooth with him...his cell phone gets caught up with the seat belt..and there's an struggle going on in the car, and he at one time was waving back and forth over the road, once over the center line...also looking for an place to pull over but, gets it straightened out....so keeps driving. things quite down, we make ti through town and that's when it happened...just like in the movies...we find ourselves beign forced off the road by three police cars with all lights and sirens blazing..one behind us, one beside us, and one in front of us...heading us toward an ditch on the roadside. I looked at hubby...were you excessively speeding or something...and he says "no" an bit unnerved himself. What's this about officer?...Well, we got an call from an guy in an pickup on the other side of Sandy, off shorty's corner that your driving like your severely "drunk" sir....can we see your driver's liscence and registration papers please. Can we ask you what your disturbance was all about sir? So he told him he had his cell phone ringing an hooked on an seat belt at the  same time...where you lock in the belt to the car lock....he says...well, sir, we hope next time you will pull over, but its clear you have not been drinking..so we will let it go this time.  By then I had replaced the batteries in my hearing amphiler also. I had two of these dudes on my side to car about ready to haul me out the door also you know. That scared me also. .....OK....

July 4th...the day is finally here....we are BBQ ribs, and putting out the food and throwing the baseball back and forth and swimming, and playing card games, and people calling sayn gthey'd be there pretty soon...so we decide to go home, and turn on the house lights so it would be lightened when we came home that night.Simple...right...OH NO...NOT this year!!!....you go around the corner to the local country church...and we did....and out comes this woman....and hubby barely stops the car in time to not run over her...she slaps her hands on the hood of our car....she's hysterical...help me...get me out of here...my boyfriend is beating the shit out of me....take me down the road an bit where I can call the police....and here he comes...hubby says "get in" and off we go..he takes one look at us and goes stopping back to where they came out of...and she's apologizing...and crying at the same time...so he takes her down to the end of the kid's roadway....and I tell my grandkids..Go inside...because we are talking "country" where an good lot of these people have guns..Out come their mother and Chris's girlfriend that had come with him fro dinner. They give her an

cigarette, she tries to smoke it from the wrong end...they give her another one and tell her to calm down...my hubby's calling 911...as she tells he she can't do it because she's on probation(I assume from drinking problems)...I could smell the liquor on her breathe standing across from her...anyway...I said...walk...get the liquor oout of your head so you can "think" lady....go visit you neighbors or something...just walk it all off.  Well, she heads out of where the kids live and about 10 mins. later here come two police cars....we give them directions as to what house to go to..they leave, down comes the neighbors...What's this all about...we wanted to set off firework's in the sky kind...and don't need to be arrested ourselves.Well, my fireworks were legal ones, and they don't have enough cops to arrest everyone in the county side shootin goff fireworks in the sky on July 4th around here. So they went off and we ended the night but the epsiode I can not really say made for an very good Holiday event.

We went out and picked up everything but the food we hauled out there the other day this morning. Of the last five days "vacation"????...wouldn't call it that....we went to Trillium Lake one day and stopped for breakfast/lunch in an tiny town called "Rhodendron" and I got my first look at what the economy is doing to the small businesses. For $6.95 we got the no substitutes senior breakfast..which is one huge pancake...with two eggs and two pieces of bacon on the side..coffee.. The place we use to eat is now sold... looks like it's barely hanging on...the Itailian place across the street is now closed. We got up to Mt. Hood at Government Camp...the big huge condo units they just built is going into auction..per unit here soon. It says starting bids at $275,000. In the park..very few campers. I could tell those there were the retired ones living in their RV's most likley 24/7. This has to be the most unusual JUly 4th I've ever had  in my lifetime. Cable company has been out there the last two days digging up our front yard. I go for now....but summer has at least been with us two days now...high 80's today and that it...suppose to go back down to teh 70's again with rain showers next Wednesday...but I'll take it considering watching the news of the huge dust storm hit Pheonix, Arizonia and shut down everything...butI also understand while it's clear here...over on our coast the fog is so thick you can't see in front of your face. We saw Willima and Kate on Tv leaving Canada the other day, probably on thier way to California. they look like they might be having an better time.... then we have been having...hopefully will be able to talk again next time I long on also.  for now..take care of yourselves.... and be good!!!

I am back...trying to get ready to go again...I'm an bit anxious over this last Holiday yet, I think I had an mild heat attack this morning or an release or something going on...but I forgot to tell you I was invited over to my brother's house for ribs also...so we went....and got told later on they had beer in them...I was REALLY sick most the night long....thank God I'd not taken my medications that day...I should of known something was wrong...I never see "JC" unless something bad is about to happen...it is as if he "aborbs" some of it for me...so I can make it through the worst of times.  This whole weekend was for the "pits" primarily. I'm sure for anyone else they would of loved the food though. I think my hubby knew this also... as he came in this morning and asked me if I was feeling "OK" Not only that but an letter was sent to me from Jim Berkland (California) also..we heart people tend to stick together....they were telling me that my astology was looking bad an week or so ago in earthboppin..figures.  I have one more web site to go to in order to get caught up, but its about time he turned it over into an new month so am not in an hurry. I go for now..I have an goal now..not to make my postings so big any more.

Hi, everyone and a special hello to James. So glad to see you back on the forum again. You should feel good that everyone here misses you so much when you're not around.

Shirley, nothing could top your 4th of July stories!! My goodness, all the excitement that when on. Please don't shorten your posts. They're so interesting to read. Wish I could've been at your house, though, for all that food. It sounded wonderful. We were supposed to have a cookout with neighbors, but we actually had a little domestic incident down the street, too. Ended up never cooking out and had a donut for dinner. We did go out and watch fireworks, though, but my poor cats were terrified of all the noise. Didn't see Muffin for a couple of days.

My son phoned today and told me he completed his first triathlon. He's been doing marathons, but never the triathlon. He never trained in swimming, but said he finished the whole thing without stopping. Swimming then 12 miles on a bike and finish up with a 3 mile run. It makes me tired thinking about it, but I'm proud of him.

Mick, in a previous post of yours you happened to mention peak flow. Had a big work project last two days and was thinking about all of you from England while doing it. It was an interview with a British doctor and I really needed help with some of the words he used. Managed to figure out most of them, but kilopascals (sp) was a tough one. Never heard that measurement before. Love the accent, though.

Hope everyone has a good day/night.

Nice to see James back around.  Hi James!  Every time you go away you come back looking like Dean Martin.  What gives?  :-)

It's almost a week since I managed to get in early enough to wish you all a wonderful day and a fantastic weekend! I don't get going very quickly in this freezing cold weather, everything is in slow-mo, lol!  Even getting my fingers to type is a problem.   We don't have anything like central heating in our houses!

So have A FANTASTIC day all POErsSmile
