Good Day!...hubby got back, replaced part in the truck..just finished an wild game of uno with my grandson....he usually wins also..but didn't this time....smiles*

Job says I called him last night about an up-coming possible earthquake in today's web site...I said...I don' t know whom you talked to.... but it wasn't me that called you. I do think that the area may be correct though as to being northern California........but that was last month back then. I can only give indicators for maybe a about 48 hour window.. Now naturally I can say they will probably have an quake in the future... and with no date...... come up probably right....but that would not be my "esp" or intution kicking in at all. My son is about to head down there this week, hauling over one and half tons of construction equiptment....longer and taller then his modular home he's living in...he doesn't know if he will have pilot cars or not...he says it depends on their road rules...whose available. Will be gone all next week. nice day out today...to windy, but it helps with the sun to have an bit of an breeze. Best get going for now, traded the grand-daughter off for an grandson last night...needs to head back to his house.

'evening everyone. Nice to see the old friends back again. I guess its summer holiday time in the north!

Its been a bad day today. We're planning a 2 week holiday in Cape Town at the end of the month and the friends we're going to stay with were planning to lend us a car for the duration - a Mercedes convertable would you believe and this weekend its engine expired. Then this evening I phoned the house sitter (can't go away without having one in this country) to check that he's still on board only to find the poor chap is desperately ill. We now have 3 weeks to find someone else and friend in Cape Town is going to buy another car. Just as well he's wealthy, very wealthy.

Well, enough of our troubles for now and its turning rather chilly again so I think I'll relocate to the lounge where the heating is. Oh yeah, the other bad news is that the water heater in the roof is starting to leak so that's got to be replaced. Bother, not a good period in our lives and especially as the company I work for is down on sales so we're facing short time. Hope we don't have to cancel the Cape town trip and lose on the airfares already paid.

Sleep well all and good night.

Hi Gonul...I've been thinking about you and wondering where you were at these days...glad you came in. Listened to an most interesting "coasttocoast" about an 13 level underground ancient city in Turkey last night...something I didn't know existed until last night in Turkey.

Syd...you remind me so much of my neighbor...he's an car dealer right now...drives an very nice truck at the moment. My son use to do that in his earlier days...took specialty cars from the car company to their owners...top of the line cars most the time..(.our Scout master does that now in his retirement years...he goes nation wide). These cars had things in them I never knew existed. Occasionally my son would stop by an show us an few of them while enroute to his destination for an few minutes. Things will work out...on your vacation...they always do...just you have to go through all this I guess to trully appreicate your vacation time. Each season has it "special" moments...enjoy them. Seek them out.

I sure am happy congress found an way to slip us out of debt for an bit longer...people over here are " up in arms" over the things they find to take away from us all the time as it is. I hope we don't have to suffer any further then what we already are doing. Time will tell I guess !Suppose to be an gorgeous week here this week. Maybe we can get something out of our gardens yet?  I go for now. Thinking this would be an good time to "paint" perhaps.... Talk later...

Hi to all. Attended hospital as required and DVT turns out to be Muscoskeletal - in other words the work needed on my knee is affecting the muscles in my calf. Can't be fixed until I get the new knee, which is supposedly coming soon!

Bottom line is the DVT doesn't exist and that is GREAT news!
