James...we had an party either in the house beside me or the one up the long alleyway across from me last night...it should be quiet for an bit as everyone "recuperates" again.  Everyone was out with snow plows this morning and the streets are pretty much cleared down to the blacktop...we didn't have but an nice dustying of it here...and it's melted pretty much, but we have an "shower" on going right now...coming down pretty good. Kids...came an picked up  the grandson....wouldn't let him go without lunch so everyone stopped to have some pepperoni "cheese filled" pizza and something to drink with it. Him and grandpa built an birdhouse this morning also...they did an splendid job at it also I might add. I watched on of my old favorite movies on TV...Magnificient Seven with Yul Brenner and Steve Maqueen, Charles Bronson and host of others. Story about "truth" and helping th eunder guy even if you don't have to. Even the commericials these days, have vampire teeth hanging out about ready to bite someone or for the most part, women hopping on top of men to suduce them, or bare breasting it...if not Tranvistes.. or Lesbians...kind of get tired of the "garbage" of it all if you know what I mean. Lot of people these days saying they shut their TV's off now to get rid of it...if they are tired of the "re-runs".

You all know about the Japan nuke plant radiation plumes they say resonsible for killing some 14,000 plus people over here last year. I was really surprised at what was said...that the worst place it hit was Boston, of all places. Caused from the plumes mixing with weather fronts...and fallling to earth in them...mostly from the mid-west to east coast of last year. It's effects were to lessen people's immune systems...so they died of secondary cases of flu and pnemonia and the likes...mostly those with diseases and infants. They said the major cause of the problem was people taking off their wet shoes by the door...and when they went to put them back on...they were handling the low radiation and getting it into their system. Next to that was babies that were not breast fed...perhaps contaminated bottle maybe?...didn't say.  If you will remember last year about that time...I was discovering "Dulse" that Atlantic Sea Kelp laden with Iodine...and Iodine is the cure for this kind of radiation.  Remeber when I was talking about this stuff an how to use it as an substitute for "bacon" with avacado's as an "Bacon, lettace, and tomato sandwhich....in an diet. That's why I took up trying it out to begin with.  It may of been my saving grace last year.. so as to say. It's  said that the nuke plant over there is being cooled by oceanic water...but it's still slowly melting at the core...and may be bringing more problems in days ahead...let's hope not.

Snowing to "beat the band" outside right now...and am feeling an bit safe for all my earlier precautions in preparations. I go for now...only way to enjoy an "whiteout" is in an warm home...looking outside the window...now for that fireplace...I have some warm rolls to make for this week that the dough needs unthawed....and risen before I can bake them.  Have an good day everyone. Tell us what your up to these days...helps to make the season go an little faster.

yeah,  like "Rio Bravo" for an western also...just don/t make as good movies as those two these days...both were packed full of some of the best actors of their time. Looking out my window it looks like some little prankster went through the neighborhood sprinkling an container of "powdered surgar"...must of been Ron... heh James? No... by golly...think that's the snow from yesterday that's going away here pretty soon. At any rate all the roads are black top this morning...so it was " thee" kind of snow to deal with. Water in front of the street curb is still ice...only place left to use one's skiboard today.  Any "takers" guys...I think I have enough cookie sheets to accomodate you all. Pillows for the rest of the bode.  Notice we gals ...we "observe" the bravery in you guys when you do things like this...as we check the health insurance policies. Smiles*

Not talking "Gene Kelly" right now...more like "True Grit"!

Well, just I like what I call "good movies"...I like The Chronicles of Narnia also. I like the movie "Rising Sun" with Sean Connery in it also from way back..murder mystery...probably not os well known.  Ocean seven... and its series also.

Well, no school today...the group all came to my house this morning as she still had college classes to atttend.... my son also...he had no work today...maybe the boss felt it wasn't worth the effort to try to fight the higher elevations. My kids tell that they have 5 to 6 inches of snow unplowed getting out to their house....and another major swath in this is suppose to hit tonight....Donna said in another web site the  Oregon coast is going to see hurricane force winds tonight of 120 MPH winds.....Seattle says it my be accompanied in thier area with 16 inches of  more snow.  We have only slushing heavy rain/snow showers here, but my son still left with me an nice warn fireplace going. So it's now "minute to minute" as what we are going to do in the mornings...in getting the kids off to school and everyone back to work...safely. I go for now...they were all pretty good today, but they still take an lot of energy from me... picking up after them....helping them.... and keeping them occupied around here. Talk later on...guess I need some POE "help" from the others in the talking right now.

Sorry about the second post..maybe Ron can dlelete it.

We got walloped as this snowstorm left last night....kids got an foot of snow on top the 6 inches they already had...we got about 3 or 4 inches....but it was spectacularly pretty late last night...puzzle perfect on the trees and shrubs in the area. Still...no wind also...no "messy" snow to look at either. Diggging out for most everyone now, Some trees came down west of Portland, no injuries though..so far it's going well. All the schools arel closed today....through out the major of the western half of the state. The big "melt" is on right now. Warm outside. Sure did  sleep well last night though....early this morning. Now I can say...it felt like there was an January 2012.

We have an grandson's birthday coming up and need to get his present...so will be working on that one and odds and ends of little things. Have an good day everyone!
