Hi Ron and Anna,

Yeah, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

I can handle the cold but Rose can't so its good we're coming over in summer.

Some years ago we spent the New Years weekend in a cottage in the Cottswolds and the morning temps were around -3 C. The bloke who owned the farm we stayed on was gob-smacked when this nutty South African would go out walking at daybreak wearing a track suit and sandals.

Rose would come out later dressed as if for an expedition to the antarctic. Now that she is unwell she feels cold when it gets down to below  15 and I don't put on a sweater 'til it goes below 10.

Mind you, that holiday we also took a boat ride down the Thames to Greenwich and I insisted that we sit on the top deck so I could take pictures. With the temperature at around 4 deg and a windchill factor of about -5 deg even I agreed to go inside by the time we reached the Tower. (Having started at Westminster). That was cold. The winter past here we had average minima of around 3 degrees so those who can't handle the cold had a bad time.

The temperature in these parts has been running between 30 and 38 this summer so no one is compaining about being cold. I find it too hot to bear though so I find any excuse to take a drive in the air conditioned car.

Good morning...my computer says that I have 4GB memory and now at 3.75 and it wants to crash one me...so into the shop it goesI guess and hope this is not coming from my hubby's computer. My

hubby greeted me this morning asking me if I was "OK" as I feel to sleep before 9 pm last night, he said I never stirred at all last night ,

as I'm ususally up and down, and was just waking up as he was headed out to work. When I go babysit for my kids these days, they go to bed at about 9 pm...if not before...because they get up at or thereabouts....out the door by 6 am. I can not go to sleep early like that, I listen to the radio until 12 to 2 am nightly...and for me to be up at 4;30 am..is like getting anywhere from usualy 4.5 hours of sleep or less.  As I told hubby before...if I nap before goin gout there in the afternoon...if not, I come home an sleep....but yesterday I had an full day...so I coulnd't come home an sleep...so when I did...I really slept deeply I guess. We spent two hours getting across to OHSU hospital to find out Dee Dee had been discharged, and her "operation" changed to the same day as my dental work. We went past the house on our way home...she had six cars parked out front...but when I called...I asked her if she had any help and she said her mother was there....never mentioned she had an houseful otherwise. So I don't know if all this going on with her is an flax for attention or not...and someway to hang on us for some reason or not...my brother seems to think she married him for an "free" house, over love...but he's kind of weird in that he's done close to the same thing in his life also.  I truly feel these are two people that deserve each other in ways. That does not though mean I wish to be part of this...and it's getting to common these days...this "spirit vampirism" of people making  spitiual attachments to you..... rather then being indepentdent...and of themselves. Another reason why today's problems never get solved, along with the "controllers" as I call them....must be the leader or nothing gets done...and ususally your the one they want to play the part of "servant". My "women's mystic" book now see's this element going on. They have now under Hadewijch of Antwerp's writings...Hadewijch I and Hadewijch II....they think two different people. This has some bearings as to the "Hadwick" family in New England that married Susan Lawson there in early days. He chose HER...not her chosing him. So it does not surprise me that these women whom want of totality of "God" for their "love" manifest...are dissappointed in ways. They seem to inwardly know they can walk in his "prescence" with universal love...not be an true part of him singularly as "creator" enscence.
