Do they still have home delivery of newspapers?  We still get the paper, but it's been pretty skimpy the last few years.  Everybody reads the news online and a lot of papers are closing.

there are not too many home deliveries these days --in fact there are not too many newsagents  due to the fact that supermarkets are selling all papers, magazines etc.

Yorkshire is the best place in the world.  Especially Whitby.  When my ship comes in, I'm moving there.

Hum...I have red roses here you know...they bloomed great the first year and this year are so spindly looking, but we got to do the miracle grow thing here soon...have it just waiting fo rit to stop raining. I did manage to plant micro-giant pumpkins, for the grandkids, mini-pumpkins to serve swiss cheese fondue in at Thanksgiving....little kids get these pumpkins filled with Ranch Dressing and plate of fresh veggies to dip in it....and then Basil...sister in-law likes that, (Pesto) for her pasta...cilantro..for my fresh salsa I make....yellow crooked neck squash, like them fried, white potatoes, red potatoes, Swiss Chard, acorn squash, another green pepper, my big two tomatoes, I also have two cherry tomatos to make weight watcherss appetizers out of...My home grown  I share an occasional one with my oldest neighbor..use to own all the ground before our houses were built...most the moneyed here are farmer's.... more then city slcikers...and let's see, some zuchinni, some steveia  herbs to go with my pineapple mint herbs, summertime drink...some argurlua...greens to go with my chives, and eatable nastirums also for an pretty salad....now it all needs to grow and produce like crazy. Because I got lost of people that would like some of it themselves. I like to share for frree with the Senior citzens and my own family that's low income. So I'm tired tonight, but feel good about getting this all done today. Lots to do tomarrow also.

So talk later on.     Ruth...glad to see you here...I read an lot about Wiltshire as far as geneology goes...what's in the area?...you know your England good enough to tell me the highlights.

Lovely to see you too, Shirley.  Wow, you've not slowed down a bit, have you!  Your garden sounds fabulous.

When we lived in Pennslyvania we used to pick tiger lily buds that hadn't opened yet.  They're good in salad too.

I don't know too much about Wiltshire, apart from Salisbury and Stonehenge.  We visited both on our first trip over there and drove across Wiltshire on the way to Bath on our last trip.  Gorgeous countryside.

Good morning all POEsters. A gloomy day in London today. What a shame the Queen's parade is going to be rained on.

I hope you all have a great long weekend. (Those in the UK of course).
