Good evening..it's almost 12:30 pm here, been an long day today, but stayed up to watch the opening ceremonies to the Olympics...and I agree with the news anchors..".very well done" England. I also sensed an kind of "euporia" there tonight, i tlooked liek to me that most of the world showed up, and I heard there were one Billion like myself watching what was going on.... liked those camera shots looking down into the olypmic torch...unique. Now for the rest of it an bit at an time.  I think they said it would be aired 16 hours straight if you want to see that much of it...otherwise, check your local listings and see it bit by bit. Tomarrow my guys come back from "Scoutcamp".  That will be nice also...no more "double-duty" around the house here. So it's late...and I'm tired...catch you all later on. Have an wonderful evening... with what's left of it.

Hello

What a great evening of entertaintment last night.  Ending dragged on a bit, but I really enjoyed it.

I've been out and about on my travels, and have more photos to post.  So I've updated my membership to be a Premier Member.  Just waiting to get my gold star now. Smile

Going to post up some pics soon, and hopefully the lovely members here will be forthcoming again, with lots of advice.

Well done Debbie and thanks for making a donation to help keep POE running. I know Chris and Sarah will be very grateful, and they will upgrade your membership status with the Gold Star shortly.

As for the entertainment, what was that then? lol

It involved beds, soft music, loud music, lots of screaming and explosions.  I was seeing fireworks at the end.

Actually I think the whole show was quite bizarre and it felt like I needed to be on the funny fags to understand it.  But even though it felt like I was having some sort of wierd hallucinaic dream, the atmosphere was great and I do love any occasion when the country comes together.
