Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 18:09 on 17th January 2013 Neither does anyone else Ron...that's the problem...reguardless of how much it costs. I took the computer back to Office Depoe...he has no problems getting it to run "there"...we get strange telephone calls from Huston, Texas also after we get the computer fixed..we got one last night...now I'm having problems again. So I can't get into earthboppin again today. I don't know if that would be Mary Young in that area or not. Maybe she's "Hannah" also..she is another doomsdayer wants to be an "prophet" of an sort.. Hard telling... I was able to sneak in there and leave Leslie an message to call my home phone. She has done that before. I finsished " Babylon Rising" book last night..I doubt I persue the rest of the series of books the guy wrote unless its via the Library later on. I'm watching "Hotel impossible" right now, both this guy and Robert of "Restrurant Impossible" do an lot to help people get their businesses straightened up. It never fails to amaze me how the owners never step back an bit and "see" what they "represent" as an business. Most the time their most basic problem is an lack of money to renovate. It's not about spending an lot of money to do it most the time..it's just thinking "out the box" as they say. OK. so we need "rounded" and centered web sites to post in..laughs! So if people are grouping up to live together in one house...why don't small business do that also...offer two small businesses in one shop?..like shoes on one side.. and foot pedicures on the other side. split the cost of the lease and expenses. I read England is suffering from horse meat added to your hamburger..not to unusual in hard economical times. It use to be done more then you might think ...as I do mean that most anything was eaten for food if it was possible in history..including each other. We won't get into that right now. I bought an "Rainbow Book" the other day, it has an picture of Queen Elizabeth holding an Rainbow in her hand...maybe there's some "promise" of better times yet. How's your diet going Ron?..it might pay to become vegetarian these days....weather here just seems "out of season" right now for "winter". I guess I will go make the best of it though and walk some....so talk to everyone later on. |

And sometimes I remember days of old When fellowship seemed not so far to seek And all the world and I seemed much less cold, And at the rainbow's foot lay surely gold And hope felt strong, and life itself not weak. "excerpt" from the "Thread of life" by Christina Rossetti (1840-1894) .................................................................. If the world's an vale of tears, Smile till rainbows span it! Lucy Larcom (1824-1893), Three old saws. ................................................................. And God smiled again And the rainbow appeared... and curled around his shoulder. Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 08:04 on 18th January 2013 You know Cathy..I was geared at one time to go to college to be an computer techno in High school...before most people even had PC's in thier houses(around 1962)..let alone what all is out there in the world these days. I'm not kiding you when I say I think I might of known Bill Gates mother at one time. Anyway..this other gal I knew went on to it..and went to work doing the payroll for an large corporation....we met later on and she asked me how I was doing and I asked her if she liked her work and she said..yes, I paid for my new car in less then one year....with cash. So I guess I get these problems because I didn't get into the job way back when..so it hangs around to let me know that if I would of done things differently...I wouldn't be having problems. I am full of anxiety tonight...gotta take an break from reading these wild books I pick out...I just read 800 pages after New Year's Eve and started an third book tonight..an "pocket book" type..this gal(Sarah), mother of two..very successful husband, they own two top notch houses and he has an private plane and flies back and forth to New York during the week, socialites of the city...does an once an year fund raiser for the neonatal unit of their local hospital for them saving her infant daughter's life...live in San Francisco..massive white.roses, gold edged plattes, all the details for an exquistie dinner.... four or five magazines are there, picture taking for the press...auction brings in something like $450,000 alone..she's expecting proceeds to be about 4 million dollars after expenses..top name entertainment, tux's and evening gowns, Tiffany's is there with fashion models selling diamond jewerly...gave away an Land Rover...just top notch EVERYTHING...and it's going perfect....the gal that is closing the night is the current world's top female singer...ending it with her latest world wide "hit"....and...and things start swaying...pretty soon things start falling...by the time things are done, they've been through an 7 or 8 mag earthquake. 560 some people in the ballroom...trying to get out....900 plus in the hotel where they are at, that literally towers 10 stories over them in the ballroom...everything comes to an stand still. At last count 20 people known deaths....and what can I say. Their singer literally was knocked into the arms of an press agent sent there...but anyway..people are moving now..one's having an baby...couple of them had heart attacks, cuts an bruises galore. Still reading.. this lady and her husband can't reach home, cells are out and so is the electricity...the parking lot across the street collpased on thier cars...and I don't know why....but the way this book is talking about her husband and how stressed he is appearing...I wonder if he's about to have an heart attack. The babysitter stayed with her kids at thier house tonight...3 years old and 9 months old. That's the next chapter...what happned at thier house. The one press agent that caught the singer...started taking pictures...he teamed up with an "nun" of all things...took her back to her street of prostitutes and the homeless, as she tries to help others enroute, they call her the Mother Theresa of San Francisco.. and is taking pictures...as he says..this will be world wide news...he is described as kind of an "Anthony Bourdain" type world traveller working for the Associated Press...Pultzer winner in the past.. So far just describing this "Benefi"t before it started was some 20 pages of luxury and nothing but the best would do...and the aftermath another 36 pages of mostly getting out of the ballroom..and what was going on with everyone. I'd like to stay up and read on, but I need my sleep I think. I guess I'll find out how thier lives have been changed tomarrow. |
