Good morning everyone....an joke a couple weeks old now...

It's been said the Obmama Administration will be hiring most those displaced by the closing of the Hostess Bakery Plants...The state department will hire the twinkies, the secret service the Ho's Ho's, the generals will sleep with cupcakes.. and all the Ding Dongs are going to congress.

They probably will forgo this year's  "cookies" thanks to Hostess...or toss them over toward the Cliff...whoever he is.

Well, haven't heard if my brother is reloaded with his truck merchandise and taking off as of yet..to arrive here for Christmas. or back here exactly. I spent last night with my sister in-law and her son came in to stay with her also, help her an bit...keep the woodstove filled up for her..go to pick up my sister in by noon, she has church this morning...then tonight we might go to see the Portland International Raceway lightings display. Raining so we can listen to Christmas music as we drive through it all. Hubby got his first call on this year's Christmas Tree Recycle for the Scouts yesterday. Make the homemade rolls and salad tomarrow for Christmas day...my son grills the steaks, I'm doing an small roast beef in an crock pot, all the snack trays(meat/cheese/fruit/cookie) were done yesterday and to me it looks like things can kind of take care of themselves for an day or so on the food. Only thing I have Christmas day is the mashed potatoes and maybe gravy..sister insisted she bring an an small fresh veggie relish tray. Deserts unthaw tomarrow night...as if we need anything more though. I told my sister in-law she was welcomed to come on over to my house if she doesn't make it to her cousins house for Christmas Dinner...she said she had to work today...don't know about Christmas Day...no problem for me to set up another table if needed...I've been doing that for many years now as it is from time to time. As is right now..at least 8 people will be here most likely. For one thing..they have thier presents here also to pick up. So I better go I guess...have my morning coffee. Have an good day everyone!..enjoy it.

Well, finally caught up with my brother...earlier in the day they were near Aurora, Nebraska going on the interstate Freeway...headed back here.  His wifey I saw her also, she looked better today then last night..and was going to make some "egg nog" rolls...along with an apple raisin/cranberry tart...for where she works. I went shopping myself and picked up the last of the fresh greens I needed for our salad. Exchanged an few gifts today also. We just got back from the light display at the PIR..and we came home to grass covered with slushy snow..and my kids say they have 3 inches and it hasn't let up yet...might be an white Christmas this year.. They went into town to get an pizza for everyone. I'm taking it easy for the rest the night and will be up cooking tomarrow. Have an good evening everyone!....  Anyone kissing under the mistletoe this year?
