Last night, besides the internet problems, we also had a flipping thunderstorm!! Today I have had barely any access to the internet at all and I have only just managed to get through to POE, I do hope it will last long enough to post this! Apparently our SEACOM link with Europe has several breaks in it near Egypt!! It was supposed to have been repaired but I have found out that it is still being fixed. It was much better when we had the satellite links but maybe that fell out of the sky! |

Chris and/or Sarah could change it, but they have enough to do so I'll wait for my trusty lady eh?

I watched Countryfile last night and it seems we may be in for 'significant' snowfalls over the Easter weekend. What's that song "I'm Dreaming of a White Easter" |

Hood this morning..they've been having snow up there...and yet it seems so late these days to be in winter mode to me. This will be an warm week here and it cultimates with an proposed 65 degrees for Easter Sunday. The moon was pretty last night big round and bright,..but I didnt' trust it for earthquakes just the same..so far only the 6.1 mag. yesterday or so off Alaska.I still have sissy here with me and her brother went over to his friend's house and his other brother back to his house..he has play mates there. So they can enjoy this weather this week. I'm having my coffee...with walnuts and butterscotch pieces....yummy and crunchy. tonight is another "Dancing with the stars" I guess you know. I think they have an really wide range of people this year as to talent. I think she said they start thier first eliminations tomarrow night. So everyone better be super good tonight. Also March 26th they are going to air Daniel Day Lewis in "Lincoln" on either the History Channel or National Geographic. I took the kids to see th movie The Croods...which was delightful to say the least.. but $30..that wasn't even the 3-D version..had we went to see it it would of been about $60. Can't go to offen at those prices. Whomever made Croods really put some thought into it. Besdes hilarious..even to me...they look to the sun...and raise thier hands so they can feel it, in awe...as they look to the light.. and out of the cave. Wait unitl you see the little white haired granny in the movie..with her crooked staff...she's an wild one... It's an savage prehistoric family episode to make you laugh and then some. Was number one at the box office this weekend across country. I suppose I better get going for today. Fishish my planting little crosses in the flower pots. Talk to you later on. |

One thing about all this snow it's saved money on diesel. We've had a drive around to take some photos of the snow drifts, quite a few roads are still blocked and it's still snowing on and off, I can see it being weeks before this lot as all cleared. |

Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 18:00 on 26th March 2013 What can I say...half the USA is under snow also....they claim in the past that if there is an "pole shift" that the new North Pole will be just the other side of Greenland....and that indeed Britain will be much colder then in the past...but as for the South Pole it's suppose to rise toward south of Hawaii somewhere....Alaska will have weather more like Washington State and Oregon more lile Central California....and southern California more like Mexico. No one ever said if this was an magnectic pole shift or an physical one. I do know the magnectic poles have been swinging back an forth some time now. They pick up the movements with those silent quakes up in Seattle...on thier equipment. We had some more of the Japanese tusunmi come ashore yesterday..it turned out to be two beams in an spirital temple gate...with some singificance in size. they after identifying it can send it back to Japan if they want it yet. So far, an floating dock piece, and boat and now this...religious shrine. We are only 1/2 the amount of rain as in the past here right now...but again, Mt. Hood seems to have enough snow to cover for it all. Rather we get into an drought depends on if we have the rains more offten and on through the summer. We are under one of Jim Berkland's earthquake windows righ tnow..you can tell by the big bad moon arising the last several nights. He told us to "beware of the tides of March" this year....jokingly. Sissy is still here and my grandson still with his freind...suppose they ought to go home today perhaps. I just made sissy some mini cinnamon waffles with syrup/banana slices, walnuts and butterscotch chips...she's already went back to bed though. Sttreets are slightlydamp this morning. We are suppose to get our first day in the 70 degree mark for Easter Sunday now, followed by an cold spell unless it comes in faster then planned. You want to plant one day to have to go out and try to protect everything from freezing the next. I felt sorry foe the ducks they were showing on TV back east trying to walk around on the snow...daffoldils blooming with snow cover on them...cherry trees blooming with pockets of snow turfs on the ends of the branches.. Latest time I've ever known snow except in the high mountains perhaps. I go for now..Have an good day everyone. |
