My house has lot of ceiling fans... I use to move the hot air out. I even use my fireplace, and blow warm air up the chimney with an fan. Remember hot air always rises. Good morning everyone...more like afternoon right now. Sister went back to her house this morning. Just sissy and I and beds to change so best get at it I guess. Feshen things up. so will.talk later on. Have an good day! |
Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 05:01 on 26th July 2013 Gosh...had to call my hubby...and my son was over here right away when sissy called him and told him something exploded and she couldn't find me. It turns out that an spring in the garage door broke, which had the electric door trying to go down to shut kind of in an tilted postion..so...it stopped...making this bang bang sound. My son was able to get it down with just an small portion tipped up, bu tnot enough anyone could get inside. Maybe an small cat or bird..but nothing else. Hubby says it's happened before and he knows what needs to be done to fix it. I jusy got done watering the yard front and back...and I see all those little holloween spiders are now born and setting up residence...so we shouldn't see to many ants around any more. I really soaked the dead grass spots..hope they green up some, especially oout front whee it's been turfed. Sissy and I went out to dinner tonight. Cat got loose again, wish she'd grow up and come in when I call her. It's starting to get dark outside. I found out she got out from breaking through the corner in an window screen..so that's another job for hubby also. He tells me that my grandson is earning 5 merits badges and has an full day...two classes in the morning an three in the afternoon. No problem with the bee sting he had before he left for camp...well, I'm tired, and have to take my meds for tonight and try to get the cat back inside before the stars come out...Rea; exciting day huh...good evening. Anyone ever get a hold of Cathyml and find out she she;s doing as of late that she hasn't been in to much. She wouldn't be painting Prince George of Cambrige pictures would she? Diana..how the clam bake go last weekend? |

It was 99 degrees outside and unbelievably humid. We stayed indoors in the air coditioning! I hope everyone has a great weekend.😊 |

Sorry to hear that Diana,,this weather is indeed an stay up at night and sleep all day kind of thing. Always good for making my feet swell up if I'm not careful. You should of heard the Oregon Clinic Staff screaming at me one summer...LAY off the salt..NO drinking "soda pop"..at least 8 glasses of water daily..No diet drinks either and on an on and on it went. Slightly elevate your feet. Plus I had water tablets to help me, but they don't like you to take them much at all. I can cool down my feet in my kiddie pool out back if really needed. Do you have to have below normal tide levels... as we do out here on the west coast to go clamming? I've been back east with high humidity before..I rented an motel room and never left it.... This was in Florida. Thought about flying back home then also. It was something like 85 degrees at the coolest at night with the humidity factor...just unbareable. My kitty cat I let in the house last night..this morning at 4:05 am..she looked quite glad to come in also..came running in..my guess was she had been inside someone's house. I called for her around 1:30 am and she never came.....the "bar" closes at 2 am as they say. I had fallen to sleep on the sofa by 2 am waiting for her. Quick nap I took before I woke up and checked on her again. She's inside now...she's an little gal that likes my hubby's attention..seh was probably out looking for him. He don't really fuss with her much, being an cat..but they have an kind of "understanding" between them I suppose you could say.I find her at times curled up under his arms asleep with him...and don't say to much.... as I've got one also with me at the bottom of my feet nightly. I keep assuring her that he returns by noon tomarrow. Anyway..2 pm..I see my granddaughter finally got up for the day..so better get going..yes, cooling down is coming they say after today..and did see some clouds out there this morning. Have an good weekend everyone. I'm still working on trying to revive my lawn. |

I am now working on dragonflys especially in flight, have made a bit of a start, see what we can do next. |

Dragonfly's.. pctures need to be at Trillium Lake up near Mt. Hood...real pretty ones up there. I sent some pictures of it in the past to our fella use to come from Wales...Peter Evans one time. He gave an receipe for Cornish Pasties. My grass I all but drowned tryin to deep water it as was suggested, don' t know what to think..I think some more of it went out the door today in the sun when it came out...alas. Looks burnt as an crisp, but it's "wet".... and have the kids' three dogs coming over for labor day Holiday most likely. Whom will want to be outside for the most part, weather permitting. I've been walking back and forth so much watering, my leg is bothering me tonight and have an nasty cough from being stressed out. But I am going to make some buttermilk biscuits I think...as I can't remember what receipe has buttermilk in it that I bought this quart for to begin with. I could care less anyway right now. It's finally cooling down some what..after nearly 90 degrees today. Both cats are in tonight so far also. I still look forward to some sleep. Talk later on. |
