I Know the feeling well John. That is one reason I do the I-Spy as that forces you to look at the pics in detail.

I try to look and comment on the new pictures everyday but its not always easy. Vince I agree 'I Spy' is a really good way to actually look at the pictures in detail.

It's getting very late, goodnight all Smile

I work on my pantry and sale items everytime I leave to go shopping Peggy..cause if they up the price on them,  I have to go without them, or find an alternative..which is usually growing and canning in own back yard. I don't can as much because I'm not feeding as many people here at my house these days...but I still share plenty just the same. Today was scouring the area for school clothes..I got each one of the kids three outfits an micheal's little gril a dress for fixing our computer and not charging us. It came to around $100. Anything else will have to wait until Christmas and their birthdays thereafter maybe. Chit chatted some with my neighbor out painting the gate on the side of their house...and so help me...they keep putting the rain further away in reporting the weather. We got rain now, but it's splitting up and going north on both sides of where I live. So am out watering the lawn also. Just made dinner... hamburger stew and homemade buttermilk biscuits...bettter get going as hubby is due here any time now.

Only thing Beiber did recently that seemed rather nice was visit and kid here in Portland Hospital that was totally bedridden and was an fan of his. It was in the news also.

James what about George Meade?....he was just under Pres. Grant in the US civil war...as his commanding officer back then, Meade was  called the "General of the Potomac"...Us. Grant was in the same school classroom as one Hugh Martin/Larkin...who says he was born of Wales Ancestory..whlie looking up Meade today it says he was both born in Cadiz, Spain but was known as "British" also. Our Hugh Martin I have records of in immigration with Hugh Kennedy in years past up in the New England area. This man's later descendents going by Hugh Larkin founded the first international school education text book company...and is in the "Whose Who of America" book.  Martin's are an huge family that probably evolved from the Charles Martel family..kin of Charlemagne in Europe..I know one of the first Catholic "Popes" was an Martin also. They are saying back east the Col. James Martin had family that were later called Larkin (s) also. He had an grandson that was an captive of the Cherokee for many years also..might of been "Chief Lackey" in records. Col. James Martin's history by his daughter refers to him as part teacher, preacher but mostly drifter..which would fit into the NATIVE AMERICAN  life as an "shaman" and/or warrior....she doesn' t sound like they were expecting him to amount to much in life. Supposedly his wife..whomever she was..had relatives that lived at the time in an very remote Cinncinati, Ohio... on the frontier at the time.  Chief Hanging Maw, raised James Lackey I am fairly sure of as to his records...but there are always discrempancies in all history...as people like to re-write their own ancestory. He was an very well known man in his time. Other data makes me think he was from an Delaware Indian Ancestory also...I know Hanging Maw's wife was...turtle clan. I think so was Shawnee" prophet" Tecumsh's wife also...known as "she who lays her eggs in the sand".  As to Meade, I'd have to search more on his connections.
