Upper echlons kin dof did him dirthy in the end also..they lost their restruant do to poor management...not lousy employees. Do you all know about this one...http://www.waking times.com/2013/08/02/war-on-consciousness-takes-to the-interent-as-esoteric-websites-to-be-censored-in-uk/I wonder what it's all about..maybe the zombie movement they are trying to get rid of...but it says things are so broad..they could put down any website. Say an prayer for my sister's friend "mary" that lives near her...word has it she went into emergency last night after having came home from liposuction surgery..on top it she has weekly kidney machine diilagis (sp?) treatments. For some reason my nieghbors I think are draining their huge pool out back of their house this morning. At least there's an hose coming out of the back of their yard to the street drain right now.August is the hottest month of summer. Though I know we use to do this if we were thinking of going on vacation when we had our 22 footpool our selves for precaution while we were gone from anyonethat might try to slip into our back yard to go swimming un-announced. Hubby just deleivered morning donuts to the kid's house and I just got up after going back to bed this morning...so guess I better go and see what else is happening around my area. Have an good day everyone.

Dan and I went to Rockport but it was so crowded we couldn't find parking so we made our way to Gloucester and had lunch and a bit of a walk around. Finally we ended up in Salem and enjoyed a bit of the festivities as the town celebrated it's Heritage Days. Now we are back home just sitting on the porch and enjoying the nice evening breeze. 😊 |
Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 05:16 on 4th August 2013 I was thinking tonight, when we went out for our ride along the river tonight, about when we were young and enjoyed the evening of summer...we do river check from time to time to see how high or low it is...and ran into an wonderful surprise on the 42 street marina...they are just about done remodeling it, will finisjh off the parking lot street this Monday and it's an snap to get to the beach now...but even if you don't go there they left an view to watch the boats go by. Both sailing vessels and motor boats/and larger ships..barges, etc.. It has been an decent weekend, hubby fixed the electronic garage door opener, fixed the bar sink downstairs for me, and found what was wrong with the phone system, it's working now, and even the water sprinkler situation...my garden is watered. Bought the kids some evergreen "bushes: today for 75 per cent off and an few more flowers at 50 per cent, we go over there tomarrow and help her get them planted and settled so when she goes back to college she don't have to worry about the plants on her boardwalk out front. Ithink if we have an few more days with rain once in awhile, it will greatly help though. Retail stores with nurseries have an large assortment of plants about half dead for next to nothing if you have an green thumb and can bring them back to life again...our dogwood tree... I 'm hoping we don't lose it...I know we have some branches of leaves dead..and all this from one week back in June of over 90 degree days. Don't take much in an area not usually hot and dry. But on the good side I've been able the last two weekends to take fresh flowers over to one of my neighbors from my yard, makes us both feel better. This week is our "get to know your neighbor" dessert potluck...it's an national thing to do in the US,... if your so inclined.Ours is up at the turn-around at the end of the street from us. Diana, I've fallen in love with the "Morning Star" boneless BBQ ribs, in the vegan section of the market..there's two slices in each package...and cut in half they make 2 small sliders that are just about right with an half plate of green salad of some kind an an big dab of potato salad and an fresh nectarine...My four minute picnic meal. Ha! All the salads are pre-made. So I whirl into my kitchen and get it all ready.. and out to eat on the patio. Oh, and lemon iced tea. Curls your toes... and makes the guys frisky! You can always watch the stars with an glass of chilled champagne later on...take out your cel phone, with one of those asrtonomy apps on it, and know what your looking at also. Remember Aug. 11 is the meteor shower this year.Well, I'm washing all my bedding so better go and attend to it for now.....have an nice evening everyone. |
