Well Well, one of you has the correct answer------------------------------------------------------------ and the winner is

John !!    In the 70's I was on a survey job at Gatwick Airport mainly on the taxi ways and the runway and also some local areas to tie in with the Ordnance Survey  grid system, also involved setting out  a few centre line marks for a second runway but that was a waste of time as there are cargo sheds where it was to go. As a base we had an office in the Beehive for a while and as John said it was the first terminal at Gatwick and was a ground breaking design in it's time.

I remember being hooked on Doctor Who when I was little, those old B&W ones were the best. I've never really got on with the new ones.

Pride of Rotterdam used to be the better apparently, it was Dutch crewed, othwerwise they are pretty much identical, been on both for business loads of times but sailed on one the once...can't remeber which

Yes, The Pride of Rotterdam is the Dutch owned one. I'm sure the Pride of Hull is just a bit smaller, I'll have to have a look.
