i was built in 1880 on the very outskirts of a major uk city and since then have been expanded a few times making me 1 of the tallest in the uk and in the top 20 of the world. i have been owned over the years by only 2 companies and have had different names in the past but now have been reverted back to my original.  my last expansion cost 42 million pounds  where am i.......

I don't know why but I'm leaning towards one of the big power stations, maybe Drax or Ferrybridge. Probably completely off track but without using Google I'm a bit stuck at the moment.

yep your completely off track i have been visited by quite a few famous people and also people from a host of nations.  i have also appeared in films and on tv

at my highest point i am 91.44 metres high and you'd probably need binoculars for my main attraction

im 1 minute away from the nearest station 7 miles from the nearest airport and 3 minutes walk from a china town
