I watched a programme on the TV about that Dave. I've been working on the theory that the Scottish Gealic word for sky is 'adhar' I've been trying to find a whisky where that word fits into the name but I've drawn a blank so far.

All wrong answers and I think Dave must have been sniffing the barrel.

As for angels- we are not that high, just a bit high, I have been  at this height when I was there myself

I'm thinking Dalwhinnie, I believe it's the highest distillery in Scotland.

I think it is the highest or maybe the second highest but that is of no matter because it is in fact the correct answer.

I was in Dalb----ywhinnie for 2 or 3 months back in 1974 trompsing over the heather and wrecking the underside of my car driving the aquaduct road four times a day. The B&B was ok and breakfast fine but no meals, Scotch pies, bananas, and lucozade was lunch and a sarni and pint was all we could manage for nosh at night, after an eleven hour day not the most sustaning -  and I have not touched a banana since that job.

I must say the surroundings were astounding and any pics would have been candidates for POE but at that time the old camera days were in hibernation.

Oh enough ramblings of days gone by, well done Ruth and over to you again.
